About the Event
Mindfulness practices are becoming more relevant in Singapore with the increasing challenges we face in both our personal and professional lives. Mindfulness has a tremendous effect in promoting wellbeing and reducing stress, anxiety and other life challenges. Modern research has found that by practicing Mindfulness one can move away from negative thoughts about the past and the future, and remain positive in the present moment. Mindfulness practitioners have also found themselves dealing with physical illnesses and challenges much better than they used to.
This eight week workshop integrates mindfulness techniques and practices from research evidence and global practice. It combines authentic Mindfulness practices, Mindful Yoga/Movement and Positive Psychology to enhance wellbeing. It includes key mindfulness practices and allied practices, meditation practices, silent practices, light stretching and movements, group dialogue and discussion and home experiments. The workshop consists of eight 2.5 hour sessions. There is also a half-day mindfulness retreat that weaves mindfulness into your lifestyle.
